Maharaja Express, the most costly luxury train of India set for maiden voyage in March 2010. It was the joint venture of Cox and Kings India Ltd and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), but now the train is solely owned by IRCTC. After reviewing the trains facilities, service, onboard accommodation and excursion programmes in the Fall of 2010 The Society of International Railway Travelers had put it in the list of worlds 25 luxurious train.
No other Indian train features Presidential Suite except Maharaja Express Train, proffering guests the majestic journey of five different roots in very lavish and highly comfortable style. Maharaja express train is the deluxe luxury accommodation running on wheel which comes with facilities like bar, lounge, dining car and a souvenir shop. The dining car has two restaurants Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal and both serve Indian, Chinese, Continental and international cuisines. The bar named Safari Bar has stocked branded beverages like wines, spirits and liquors along with finger foods. Rajah club is lounge cum bar cabin of train for casual hang around experience.
