Poppyseed is a sweet little bird who is learning to trust humans. She and her friend Cookie came from a neglectful situation and have been recuperating in foster care. Proper care, diet and socialization are doing wonders for these two adorable birds. They are quite devoted to each other and we want to keep them togehter in a new home. Poppyseed is a bit shy, but does show evidence of having been handled in her past and does understand the "step up" command, which she is willing to do on her own terms. :)
Interested parties should be prepared to provide a cage large enough for two Cockatiels and be willing to make them part of the family, allowing lots of out of cage play time and socialization. A variety of toys swapped out frequently will help provide mental stimulation and are vital to a bird's overall health and well being.
